Anyone who has a sincere desire to learn this healing technique to benefit themselves and others can learn Reiki. The course material will be clearly explained so you will understand the concepts behind Reiki. You will be able to use it immediately on yourself and you will be able to use it to benefit others too. Any post course requirements will also be explained – for example any case studies you will need to complete. The attunements carried out at each level will enable you to be attuned to Reiki energy and use it as a healing tool.

What do Reiki Courses Offer?

With each level you will receive a full Manual to take away and study which will contain both the essentials and also relevant information to take you further on your healing journey.
In addition to the comprehensive Manuals you will receive Certificates at each level and experience traditional Attunements and small friendly groups or 1-2-1 Training. Each student is asked to complete a number of case studies before a certificate is issued.
Each course has practical healing sessions where you will be able to receive, as well as give healing.

Location

Courses are held in a tranquil Yorkshire location easily accessible from York, Howden, Selby, Goole, Pocklington, the M62 to the south and A64 to the north west. There is plenty of space and you are assured of a warm welcome and a friendly atmosphere.

About Your Reiki Master

Sarah is committed to delivering the Reiki courses in as authentic and experiential a way as possible so that you too can experience and enjoy the benefits of this wonderful healing technique.

Sarah has been practising Reiki for several years and uses it on herself on an ongoing basis to promote calm and balance, keep energy flowing freely and maximise health. She uses it as part of her professional practice and obtains excellent results with clients who come to Sarah perhaps needing to feel calm again and in touch with themselves, or perhaps with a physical or emotional issue.

What is Usui Reiki?

Usui Reiki is a healing universal life force energy that was rediscovered by Dr Mikao Usui in the late 1800's. Reiki energy can be used to help heal people, animals and even plants.
During a healing treatment the high vibration Reiki healing energy is channelled through the therapist and mainly out through their hands to the recipient. This activates the body's natural ability to heal itself. The treatment is gentle and very relaxing.
During Reiki training each student is attuned to the high Reiki vibrational energy, so that they then have the ability to channel Reiki energy and can help to heal others, as well as themselves. The attunement process usually brings about a clearing process, which helps the student on their path of spiritual development.

The Reiki First Degree (Level I)

works on the physical level. In the Reiki First Degree course you will have your Reiki One attunement and learn about what Reiki is, its history, the five principles of Reiki, the three pillars of Reiki, auras, chakras, attunements, how to give self treatments as well as treat others with possible reactions and much more. This course is for those who wish to heal family and friends, as well as for self healing and self development.

The Reiki Second Degree (Level II)

works on the emotional and mental levels. In this course you will have your Reiki Two attunement, learn about three of the Reiki symbols, how to give distant healing, how to set up and work as a Reiki practitioner and much more. This course is for those who wish to be Reiki practitioners and/or to send distant healing. The Reiki First Degree must have been attended before acceptance on the Second Degree course.

The Reiki Masters/Teachers Degree (Level III / Master)

works on the spiritual level. On the first day of this course (the Reiki Master Practitioner Day) you will have your Reiki Three (Masters) attunement and learn about the ethics of Reiki, the Masters symbols and a breathing technique taught by Dr Usui and more. During the second day of the course (the Reiki Master Teacher Day) you will learn how to teach Reiki, which includes information about how to prepare for the course, grounding, protecting, meditations, additional Reiki exercises and the subjects to teach for each degree. You will also be taught how to give attunements and have the opportunity to practice giving attunements yourself. This course is for those who wish to bring Reiki fully into their lives and possibly teach others. The Reiki First and Second Degrees must have been studied before acceptance on the Masters course.

Reiki Course Details

All Reiki courses are small, informal and very enjoyable. The 1st and 2nd degree courses will take one day (indicative timings are 10.00am to 4.30pm). The Masters course will last 2 days.
Drinks will be provided but please bring packed lunches.
If overnight accommodation is required, please let us know. We have well appointed, en-suite accommodation with a vegetarian cooked breakfast available.
